while i am nesting trying to get the baby room fixed up, ben has gotten a bit more industrious… this happened yesterday:
we had a gas fireplace there, that we never use. it wasn’t even connected to a line and we don’t have a tank. ben and i aren’t fans of invisible gas killing us in our sleep (yes we are paranoid) so it just kinda sat there in the wall. yesterday ben decided to yank it all down.
what will we do with the hole? we’ve decided to put one of his gun safes into the hole since it will fit, then the extra space can be storage for stuff like brooms and what ever. we will then be building a hinged bookshelf over the front of the hole to make it awesome and not just a hole in the wall with a gun safe.
after the gunsafes are out, and ben’s coffin (long story) we can finally clean vincent’s room and get everything ready!

lol the coffin story is one i should blog someday… basically when we were teenage goth kids, ben built a full sized wooden box in shop class, that he slept in for years (and we were tiny enough that i fit in it WITH HIM). now its just sorta… a free standing closet cause we are too big for it.
